Empowering Communities

for Change

Join our mission to create a better world for Liberia and beyond.

"The Best Is Yet To Come"

ONE MAN PLANTED; over 100 years ago Bishop R. C. Lawson and Missionary Margaret Giles planted missions in Zuie and BokayTown,  Liberia.  His goal was to plant a seed and trust those coming after would water and continue the vision.

ANOTHER MAN WATERS; In 1979 Bishop W.L. Bonner caught the mantel and ran a week revival accompanied by Bishop Matthew Norwood; baptizing hundreds of souls.  A church was planted in Monrovia to  nurture the new converts.

ANOTHER MAN WATERS;  Currently, Bishop Matthew Norwood for over 50 years has nurtured the fertile soil in Monrovia.

AND GOD GIVES THE INCREASE; Bishop Nathaniel Zarway accompanied by his wife Dr. Martha Zarway have supported, feed and cultivated  the ever growing flock in Monrovia.  Souls are still being baptized, lives are ever being changed and won for the Kingdom Of God, "And The Best Is Yet To Come!"

Our History

MISSION

Liberia Rising is a non-profit fundraising organization providing financial support to a Palm Oil Farm and The Refuge Cathedral of Monrovia, Liberia.

The Vision

We endeavor to liberate the citizens of Monrovia, Liberia physically, spiritually, educationally, and economically.

Liberia Rising is a non-profit, fund raising organization. Our objective is to bring Doctor Martha Zarway’s Palm Nut Oil farm to a state of financial  profitability. The farm grows a variety of fruits and vegetables whose harvest time is much shorter than the Palm Nut. Sale of the fruit and vegetables provide much needed income for the farm workers.

Benefits of the Palm Nut

  • The Palm Nut is the main crop, when harvested one of its many by products is Palm Oil.

  • Palm Oil is rich in antioxidants, one of which is Vitamin E.  This Vitamin is critical for keeping your immune system healthy.

  • Palm Oil enhances skin elasticity, protects the skin from harmful UV radiation while boosting circulation and regenerating newer more supple skin.

When the Palm Nut Farm reaches profitability it will be able to fund  the many ministries Dr. Zarway supports and so much more.

THE PALM NUT FARM

OUR WORK

A growing and soon to be thriving Palm Oil Farm will support and fund an established clinic, mobile clinic, orphanage, school and The Refuge Cathedral.

Without new age equipment the process is long and arduous. The private sector must do its part in lifting Liberia out of poverty. The onus is now on all of us to consolidate our efforts.  Support the ongoing work in Liberia by Giving. The Best Is Yet To Come!

THE ORPHANAGES

age range: infancy to adult 18 yrs.

There are many orphanages in Monrovia, housing and caring for the many children left without families as a result of the civil war.  However the three that Mother Zarway supports care for children from infancy to high school. Most of them are not in school because school is not free. Parents pay for their children to go to school in Liberia and most of these children have no parents or family members. The orphanage cannot afford to pay to educate them the most they can do is provide  food and shelter. However, it only cost $800 a year to educate one child. Your generous donation can afford a child an education and a future.

DOCTOR MARTHA ZARWAY'S CLINIC

Doctor Martha Zarway’s Clinic is located in the heart of Monrovia.  The location is ideal for most of its residents who cannot afford the hospital. The clinic provides all that is necessary for a complete check up.   If an overnight stay is necessary the clinic has accommodations for the patient and their family.

Many individuals are alive today because of Dr. Zarway‘s courage and willingness to treat thousands of patients who contracted Eboli during the epidemic. Dr. Zarway’s strong faith in God gave her the courage to withstand and persevere when many others closed their door

Dr. Zarway has delivered over 900 babies and saved the lives of countless mothers in distress during pregnancy.

The inability for the clinic to continue to serve the people of Monrovia because of the lack of funds is unconscionable when it is within our power to support the work. Let’s make a difference in someone’s life. How By Giving Generously!!!
